SANAA, March 09 (YPA) – At least six Pakistani paramilitary soldiers were killed and 22 others injured in a suicide attack in southwestern Pakistan on Tuesday, days after 63 people were killed in a suicide bombing at a Shiite mosque in the northwest of the country, Pakistani officials said.
Violence by militants in Pakistan has escalated amid political instability as the country’s opposition parties prepare for a no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the coming days.
The Islamic State branch in the region, known as the Afghanistan-based Islamic State-Khorasan province, claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s attack.
