Belarus votes in favor of deployment of Russian nuclear weapons
BELARUS, Feb. 28 (YPA) – Belarus announced on Monday the approval of the majority of its citizens on a new constitutional amendment that would allow the deployment of Russian nuclear weapons in the country.
According to the Minsk Election Commission, about 65 percent of voters supported changing the constitution, while 10 percent of voters opposed the amendment.
The amendment would allow Russian forces and nuclear weapons to be stationed permanently in Belarus in the future.
