Kremlin: We look to Ukraine to be cleansed of Nazis

SANAA, Feb. 24 (YPA) – Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, announced that Russia, through its own military operation in Ukraine, would look to uproot Nazism from the country and neutralize its military capabilities.

Peskov said in a news statement “that the demilitarization of Ukraine means the negation of its military capabilities, which “recently increased significantly with support from abroad.”

He stressed that the word “occupation” does not apply to the special military operation to demilitarize Ukraine, noting that the future of Ukraine is a matter of choice for its people.

On the possibility of holding negotiations between Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Peskov said: “Why not, if Ukraine is ready to talk about Moscow’s security concerns.”

Peskov added that Russia might encounter problems with a number of countries due to the situation in Ukraine.

He noted that the support of Russian citizens for the special operation to disarm Ukraine is no less than the recognition of the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.
