PARIS, Feb. 21 (YPA) – French President Emmanuel Macron has proposed a joint summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Joe Biden on the Ukraine crisis, the Elysee Palace said Monday.
The Elysee confirmed that the Russian and American presidents had accepted in principle Macron’s proposal.
On Sunday, the French president made telephone calls to the Russian president, his US counterpart and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during which they discussed the Ukrainian crisis.
The summit agenda will be prepared by US Secretary of State Blinken and Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, according to the Elysee.
