Lugansk: Ukraine committed 49 ceasefire violations on Saturday

SANAA, Feb. 20 (YPA) – The self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic’s authorities said  on Sunday that Ukrainian security had committed a total of 49 ceasefire violations from Saturday, including heavy artillery shelling .

Ukrainian security had used 120 mm shells, which were prohibited by the Minsk agreements.

The situation in Donbass intensified, after the unilaterally declared Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics exchanged accusations of violating the Minsk Agreements and violating the ceasefire .

For some time now, the Kiev authorities have been pushing additional troops and heavy military equipment to the line of contact between their armed forces and those of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics, raising tensions in the Donbass region, south-eastern Ukraine.
