Female student Journalist at Aden University disappeared

ADEN, Feb. 11 (YPA) – A female student studying Journalism and media at the Faculty of Arts in University of Aden disappeared in the past few hours under mysterious circumstances.

“Her daughter left the house on Thursday morning for the media college in Khor Maksar and did not return home,” said the student’s family, Asmaa Bassem Abdullah.

The family added that they could not communicate with her daughter because her phone was switched off without knowing where she was.

The family appealed to the honorable sons of Aden to help them find the daughter.

In June 2021, the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)  Militia abducted student Nabil Saleh Hubibat from the Faculty of Arts, the Media Department of Aden University, and took him to an unknown destination.

The phenomenon of enforced disappearance and abduction of women and girls in Aden has increased over the past five years, amid reports of organized networks funded by the UAE behind such criminal acts.
