British force arrives in Kuwait

SANAA, Feb. 05 (YPA) – A British force arrived on Friday in Kuwait to participate in the Desert Warrior-2022 exercise, along with the Kuwaiti ground forces.

Last September, the two sides agreed to resume the joint exercise, as part of a new action plan at the 17th session of the joint group of the two countries, which was held in London.

Britain renewed its full commitment to the security of the State of Kuwait and all countries in the Arabian Gulf region that seen as the area of strategic importance and vital to the security of the United Kingdom.

Defense cooperation is the cornerstone of Kuwaiti-British relations, especially after the role Britain played in liberating Kuwait following the Iraqi invasion in the early 1990s.
