UK to impose new sanctions on Moscow on Monday in connection with Ukraine crisis

SANAA, Jan. 29 (YPA) – The British Foreign Office will announce new sanctions against Russia on Monday in connection with the Ukraine crisis, a source close to the British government said Saturday.

The source said: “The Uk Foreign Office is expected to announce the tightening of sanctions on Monday before Parliament, so that the UK can strike at Russia’s strategic and financial interests.”

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is going to have a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin this week, according to the his Office.

Kiev and western countries have recently expressed concern about the alleged increase in “acts of aggression” by Russia near Ukraine’s borders.
