George Kordahi: “Yemen war is absurd… and my resignation did not make any change”
BEIRUT, Jan. 27 (YPA) – The resigned Lebanese Minister of Information, George Kordahi, has confirmed that his resignation so far has not brought about any positive change in Lebanon’s relations with the Gulf states.
Kardahi said, in an exclusive interview with Tasnim International News Agency, that It was not the first time that he has talked about the Yemen war and its absurdity, perhaps more than 10 times! and that, in one of his interviews, he asked Mohammed bin Salman to stop this war.
“But they interpreted the word absurdity in another way, and it is intended that it did not lead to any result,” he added. ‘”The officials in the Gulf states will know after a while that I only said the truth and that this war is absurd.”
He pointed out that he French initiative did not succeed as it should, especially that the content of the joint French-Saudi statement with the help of Lebanon came within the conditions, the first of which was his resignation.
The resigned minister was surprised by the media campaign launched against him, starting from Lebanon, and he was the “scapegoat of the Holocaust” for relations that are mainly tense due to the Gulf states’ loss of confidence with their allies in Lebanon.
He considered that the media campaign aimed, above all, at undermining the name of George Kordahi, because he, as a media name, has a good relationship with the Gulf states.
