UNICEF cargo plane arrives at Sanaa Airport

SANAA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – A cargo plane belonging to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) arrived Thursday at Sanaa International Airport, carrying vaccines for children under one year.

Director of Vaccines Department in the Immunization Program, Taha Ahmed Al-Aqari, said that the shipment contains 250,000 vials of pneumococcal conjugate vaccine and 823,226 vials of the pentavalent polio vaccine.

The Boeing 727 cargo plane received all air navigation services in force at various international airports in accordance with the terms and requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

It is worth noting that the Saudi-led coalition is still preventing the entry of new and necessary communications and navigational devices required for Sanaa Airport, which are currently in Djibouti.
