Armed clashes in Marib lead to killing coalition commander

MARIB, Jan. 16 (YPA) – A commander loyal to the Saudi-led coalition forces was killed on Sunday in confrontations taking part in Marib province.

A number of Saudi-backed Islah party activists on social media said the commander of the “security installations” affiliated with Islah, “Mansour Bunyan Al-Attiyah”, was killed by the Sanaa forces in Al-Faliha area in Ramli axis east of Al-Balaq area.

This came after the Sanaa forces surrounded the coalition militants in a qualitative operation between Al-Balaq Mountains and Wadi Abaidah, which left dozens dead and wounded of the coalition and heavy losses in military equipment.
