Citizen injured by coalition’s shelling in Taiz

TAIZ, Jan. 15 (YPA) – A  citizen was seriously injured  on Friday as a result of artillery shelling by Saudi-led coalition militants on the homes of citizens in Taiz province, southwest Yemen, a security official said.

According to the official, the artillery shelling targeted the village of Sabaa Shamir in Maqbanah district, leaving one citizen wounded.

The official denounced the continued targeting of civilians.

He called on the United Nations and the international community to assume responsibility for putting an end to the crimes and violations committed by the coalition against the Yemeni people.
