Eight explosions rock US base in eastern Syria

DEIR EZZOR, Jan. 08 (YPA) – Eight explosions were heard overnight in the vicinity of the Omar oil field, which  The US forces are taking as an illegal military base for the international coalition, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor , eastern Syria.

Correspondents for the eastern Syrian news agencies quoted local sources as saying that eight explosions were heard in towns and villages around the Al-Omar oil field.

Al-Omar is Syria’s largest oil field, which is being taken by the forces of the so-called “US Coalition” as its largest base in eastern Syria.

The sources added that the explosions were caused by eight rocket attacks from an unknown source, but they were likely to be launched from areas southeast of the Euphrates River, specifically from Badiyat al-Mayadeen, or from the north of the river, all from the source of tribal and popular resistance.

The sources confirmed that the “US army” will probably repeat its claims  (military exercises with live ammunition).

They stressed at the same time that these allegations are no longer realistic under the tense security and military conditions since the beginning of the new year in the area that includes the bases of the fields (Al-Omar ) and (Koniko Natural Gas) in the countryside of Deir Ezzor .
