Iran’s President vows revenge for Soleimani’s death
TEHRAN, Jan. 03 (YPA) – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi vowed on Monday to avenge the killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani two years ago unless former US President Donald Trump is brought to justice.
President Raisi warned America against procrastinating in the trial and punishment of Trump and his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, “after the brutal assassination that was carried out on their direct order,” according to the official IRNA news agency.
Raisi stressed that “the Iranian people will definitely avenge their pure blood,” calling on the Commander of the Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami, to continue Soleimani’s path with greater strength.
He affirmed that “He (Soleimani) was the reason for the transformation of the Lebanese “Hezbollah” into a global resistance.
