Syria: We will work to return entire occupied Golan

DAMASCUS, Dec. 28 (YPA) – The Syrian Foreign Ministry said on Monday that the occupied Syrian Golan “in view of international legitimacy and international law is an integral part of Syria’s territory.”

This comes in the ministry’s response to the Israeli occupation plan announced by the Israeli government on Sunday.

The ministry confirmed that Damascus would work to restore the occupied Golan completely by all available means guaranteed by international law as an eternal right that does not fall into obsolescence and a constitutional duty of the Syrian state.

In a statement, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli occupation plan aimed at doubling the number of settlers in the occupied Golan, describing it as “a dangerous and unprecedented escalation.”
