SANAA, Dec. 26 (YPA) – The Civil Aviation Authority called on the United Nations to bring in equipment for Sanaa International Airport.
The Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, in a meeting held on Sunday, headed by the Minister of Transport Amer Al-Mrani, called for the UN to fulfill its obligations and transfer the technical equipment for the airport and to ensure that the airport and its employees are not targeted by the Saudi-led coalition.
The meeting touched on the latest developments and events at the airport and the extent of damage and losses incurred by some of its vital facilities and infrastructure as a result of direct targeting by coalition warplanes.
The meeting held the coalition countries responsible for any damage or delay in the technical devices and equipment for communication with air navigation, which ensures the safety and security of civil aviation at the airport and all Yemeni airports.
