Parliament hears Education Committee’s report

SANAA, Dec. 26 (YPA) – The House of Representatives, in its session held on Sunday, listened a report of the Education Committee on the current status of the literacy and adult education system for the 2021-2022 school year.

The session, headed by Parliament’s speaker Yahya Al-Ra’i, discussed the report included the role of the agency within the educational system, as well as the definition of illiteracy and its tributaries, the extent of its problems and their impact on society.

The report also included the general objectives, tasks, and activities of the Literacy and Adult Education System, including the eradication of illiteracy among citizens.
