KABUL, Dec. 25 (YPA) – SIS claimed responsibility Saturday for Thursday’s bombing near a passport office in the Afghan capital Kabul.
This came in a statement published in its Telegram account.
A government spokesman said that a suicide bomber died on Thursday at the gate of the Passport Office in Kabul, and unconfirmed reports indicated that a large number were injured in the blast.
Large crowds of Afghans are gathering in front of the passport office in an attempt to obtain travel documents in recent days after the resumption of service after being suspended for weeks.
Officials said Thursdays are reserved for Taliban officials to visit the passport office to obtain travel documents.
