SANAA, Dec. 24 (YPA) – The US-backed Saudi-led coalition warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on residential neighborhoods and civilian infrastructures in the capital Sanaa, central Yemen, a security official said on late Thursday.
The official explained that two air raids launched by the coalition warplane hit near Al Alia hospital in Moeen district, causing extensive damage to the building and nearby houses.
Also, Al-Zubairi Street, the intersection of Baghdad Street, was damaged by a coalition airstrike, he added.
The coalition airstrikes came a day after the aggression warplanes launched at least three raids targeting Al-Sabeen residential area and a raid that directly hit a bridge.
The raids caused damage to homes of citizens and to Al-Sabaeen Maternity and Childhood Hospital as well.
The coalition airstrikes also targeted surroundings of the prisoners’ prison, which led to the destruction of some prison facilities and led to a state of great panic among the prisoners.
