Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi: we accept peace, not surrender

SANAA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – The Leader of the Yemeni Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi has said that the Yemeni people “continue to confront Saudi aggression coalition against Yemen,” stressing that they may accept peace but on their own conditions.

“We accept peace, not surrender. Our condition for accepting this is an end to the Saudi coalition’s aggression, a lifting of the blockade and an end to the war on Yemen,” , Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said during his speech this afternoon.

In his speech, Sayyed Abdul-Malik  affirmed that “Yemenis have a legitimate right to defend themselves and confront the Saudi coalition, its missiles and its siege, which has been going on for almost seven years.”

Regarding the coalition massacres, the Sayyed further stressed that the Saudi-led aggression forces have failed to reach any of their targets in their war on Yemen, adding that “their mere achievement is committing massacres against the civilians.”

He described the coalition’s crimes as “a stigma in the eyes of all human society,” saying, “All people say that the aggression against Yemen is a catastrophic and tragic war that does not meet even the lowest standards of humanity, values and morality.”

On the other hand, Sayyed Abdul-Malik called on for taking care of the families of the martyrs at the popular and official level.

“What is offered to the families of the martyrs, officially and popularly, is not a reward for their sacrifice, as the only reward for this is Allah’s pleasure and their access to heaven,” the Sayyed said.

The Leader of the Revolution added: “Our emerging generation today is a generation that loves martyrdom, and therefore it is a free generation that is resistant to enslavement and is resistant to humiliation and surrender.”

He pointed out that “the value of martyrdom lies in the fact that it enhances the state of patience and steadfastness, regardless of challenges.”
