Iran: European Troika must show seriousness, will to advance negotiations

TEHRAN, Dec. 19 (YPA) – Iran on Saturday called on the three European members of the 4+1 group to show seriousness and will to push the Vienna negotiations forward, instead of resorting in vain to the policy of projection and its outdated games.

According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), this came in a statement by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh, commenting on the false statements and the media atmosphere raised by the diplomats of the European Troika about scheduling the return of the delegations participating in the current round of Vienna negotiations.

Zadeh said: “Contrary to the claims of the Western party about Iran’s demand to stop the negotiations, this same country, as well as the other member states of the 4+1 group, is fully aware that the scheduling was made by a collective decision.”

He added: “It is not new for the European parties to distort the truth and promote false information.”
