The Riyadh-based resigned president Hadi has held an emergency meeting in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, attended by a number of military leaders and social figures, including leaders of Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood), familiar sources told Yemen Press Agency.

In the meeting, Hadi said he is ready to resign immediately and for the fifth time without retreating. He added that he faces extraordinary pressures, but he did not specify the type of pressure and those who stand behind.

On Sunday, fierce clashes between Saudi-backed militias loyal to resigned president Abd Rabbu Hadi and UAE-backed southern separatist transitional council escalated in Aden.

The clashes have killed so far dozens of people and wounded hundreds others and paralyzed the city.
