SANAA, Dec. 06 (YPA) – An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale hit eastern Turkey, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center said Monday.
The quake was observed at 21:46 UTC (0046-local time), the center said.
The epicenter was 47 kilometers (37 miles) north of Wan, a city of 371,000 people, at depth of 8 kilometers (300,000 miles).
