Hamas welcomes Kuwait’s decision to ban passage of Israeli ships

SANAA, Dec. 05 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” welcomed the Kuwaiti authorities’ decision to ban the passage of the entry of commercial vessels loaded with goods to and from Israeli entity into Kuwaiti territorial waters.

Head of Hamas Media Office abroad, Hisham Qasem, said in a statement that the decision “represents an implementation of the new, old Kuwaiti policy, which always aims to victory for the Palestine people and its just cause.”

He added that Hamas praised this position, which is in line with the decision of the Arab boycott of the occupation, and is adopted by the Arab League since the fifties of the last century.”

According to the Kuwaiti law, individuals and companies cannot conclude agreements with organizations or persons living in Israel and cannot deal financially or commercially with persons who have an interest in the entity.
