White House says Biden plans to run for re-election in 2024

SANAA, Nov. 23 (YPA) –  US  President Joe Biden plans to run for a second term in 2024,  said White House press secretary Jen Psaki.

“That’s his intention,” Psaki added during a press conference on the presidential plane, when asked if Biden would run for re-election in 2024.

Biden, 79, has suffered low approval ratings in recent months from some decisions, leading some Democrats to question whether he may not seek another four-year term.

US reports revealed Saturday that Biden told allies that he planned to run for re-election in the 2024 election, despite fears of his age and low approval rating.

One Democratic Party donor, Barry Goodman, told The Washington Post that he hopes former US President Donald Trump will run in the 2024 election because “any Democrat can defeat him.”
