Top official in Sanaa comments on al-Qaeda leader’s remarks

SANAA, Nov. 14 (YPA) – Ahmed Hamed, director of the Presidency Office in Sanaa, commented on the statements made by al-Qaeda leader Khalid Batarfi, during which the latter admitted that al-Qaeda groups fought alongside Saudi-led coalition forces in Yemen.

” The remarks of the emir of al-Qaeda, which speaks of their role in the battle of Marib, answer a lot of questions, reveal many facts and clarify the dimensions of US-Israeli concerns  and their annoyance over their brothers and the terror they have created, “Ahmad Hamed said in a tweet followed by the Yemen Press Agency.

“Our forces fought alongside the government and coalition against Ansarullah on 11 fronts in Yemen, especially in Marib and Bayda, and our forces are still fighting. Our role in fighting against the Houthis is apparent and cannot be denied,” Khalid Batarfi said in a televised interview published by al-Qaeda’s al-Malham foundation on Friday.
