Sanaa forces close to take control over al-Hayma port south of Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, Nov. 14 (YPA) – The National Salvation government Forces (Sanaa forces) get close to take control over the strategic port of Al-Hayma in al-Khokha district, south of Hodeidah province, well informed sources reported on Saturday.

According to the sources, units of the army forces and popular committees advanced this morning towards the northern outskirts of al-Khokha district, a few kilometers from its center.

The sources said that the advances of Sana’a forces in Al-Khokha come after the complete withdrawal of the UAE-backed  forces .

This morning, the port of Al-Hayma witnessed violent clashes that resulted in the death of the commander of the “4th Tihama Brigade”, Brig. Gen. Haitham Barri. The 4th Brigade is a military faction of the Islah Party, Yemeni branch of the Muslims brotherhood

Local sources confirmed the withdrawal of Islah militants to the back fronts after they refused to withdraw in the past two days.

These developments came after Sanaa’s forces taken  control of the entire strategic province of Hodeidah following the withdrawal of UAE-backed forces.
