Army’s Air defenses shoot down US spy aircraft in Marib

SANAA, Nov. 13 (YPA) – Air defenses of the Yemeni army shot down on Saturday an USA spy plane in the sky of Marib province.

Spokesman for the armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, said in a statement that the an armed US-made Scan Eagle reconnaissance drone was targeted with a suitable weapon in the airspace of Al-Jouba district.

He pointed out that the drone was shot down while it was carrying out hostile acts in the district, indicating that the scenes of the plane’s wreckage will be broadcast later.

The US aircraft is the sixth in the same type that the air defenses managed to shoot down this year.

Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition waged three strikes on the drone’s wreckage in the district.
