Taliban recruits 150,000 of its fighters into Afghan army
KABUL, Nov. 10 (YPA) – The Afghan Taliban Chief of General Staff, Qari Fasihuddin, announced Wednesday the recruitment of 150,000 Taliban fighters into the new Afghan army.
“The movement began with the formation of the Islamic Army, and the operation is continuing,” Fasihuddin said.
The Afghan Taliban Chief of General Staff added that members of the former Afghan forces would be recruited, with priority given to those not involved in corruption, according to Al-Jazeera TV channel.
