Hodeida prepares to face spread of locust swarms

HODEIDA, Nov. 09 (YPA) – The local council of Al-Marawa’h district in Hodeida province held on Tuesday a meeting to discuss facing the spread of locusts in parts of the district.

The meeting, chaired by director of the district Abdullah Al-Marwani, stressed the importance of establishing an appropriate mechanism for rapid intervention to combat locust swarms and limit their spread.

Al-Marwani urged farmers to unite efforts to protect agricultural crops and work in a team spirit, each in his area, to report any locust outbreak.
