Iraqi Prime Minster survives assassination attempt

BAGHDAD, Nov. 07 (YPA) – The Security Media Cell announced that Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, was subjected to a failed assassination attempt with a booby-trapped drone.

In a statement, the cell stated that “a failed assassination attempt against Prime Minister, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, by a booby-trapped drone, tried to target his residence in the Green Zone in Baghdad,” noting that “Al-Kadhimi was not harmed.” He is in good health.”

The cell added, “the security forces are taking the necessary measures regarding this failed attempt.”
