TEHRAN, Nov. 04 (YPA) – Iran’s talks with world powers aimed at reinstating a 2015 nuclear deal will resume on November 29, Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani said Wednesday.
Bagheri Kani wrote in a tweet that he had agreed with Enrique Mora, secretary general of the EU’s Foreign Affairs Department, during a telephone call to “start negotiations in Vienna with a view to lifting illegal and inhuman sanctions on November 29th,” Reuters reported.
Last April, Tehran and the six powers began discussing ways to save the nuclear deal, from which former US President Donald Trump withdrew since 2018, and re-imposed sanctions on Iran, prompting Tehran to violate various restrictions on uranium enrichment, the source said.
But talks have stalled since the election of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi in June, amid expectations that he will take a tough approach when talks resume in Vienna.
