Parliament Speaker congratulates German counterpart for winning presidency of Bundestag

SANAA, Oct. 30 (YPA) – The Speaker of the Parliament, Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, on Saturday sent a congratulatory cable to Mrs. Baerbel Bas, on the occasion of winning the presidency of the German Bundestag.

In the cable, Al-Ra’i, in his name, the presidency and members of the Parliament of the Republic of Yemen, based in Sanaa, expressed his best wishes and congratulations to Bas for gaining the confidence of her colleagues and being elected President of the Bundestag (German Parliament).

Al-Ra’i hoped that Bas’ assumption of the presidency of the German Parliament would represent a qualitative addition to the joint parliamentary work between the two friendly countries.

“We look forward to taking positive attitudes towards the suffering of more than 30 million Yemenis living under the conditions of aggression and the siege imposed by the countries of the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition for seven years,” Al-Ra’i said.

He wished his German counterpart success in here parliamentary duties.
