“George Kordahi” sends scathing messages to Saudi Arabia

BEIRUT, Oct. 27 (YPA) – The Lebanese Minister of Information “George Kordahi” on Wednesday sent stinging messages to Saudi Arabia, criticizing its interventions through its agents and ambassador in Lebanon.

“We are a sovereign country and no ambassador or any foreign country has the right to interfere in our affairs,” Kordahi said during a meeting with the Lebanese media men and journalists.

It is not permissible for Lebanon to remain subject to blackmail, neither from countries, nor ambassadors, nor individuals, he added.

Kordahi stressed his adherence to his firm position towards his post and the Lebanese people, mocking some voices calling for his resignation. “When someone asks me to resign, I tell him that I am part of a monolithic government.”

The Saudi state had threatened to sever its relationship with Lebanon following Kordahi’s latest statements, in which he considered the Yemeni war an absurdity, arising angered Arab public opinion.
