Security services seize half-ton of banned pesticides in Taiz

TAIZ, Oct. 26 (YPA) – Security agencies, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture team at al-Rahidah land port in Taiz province, seized  a half-ton of  banned pesticides on a truck loaded with fertilizer bags of poultry waste.

Hilal al-Jshari, director of plant protection at the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, explained that the seized pesticides were hidden inside poultry waste bags coming from Aden to Dimnat Khadir District in Taiz.

He pointed out that pesticides were seized and referred to the specialized prosecution to complete legal procedures.

He praised the efforts of the security services and their role in controlling these dangerous pesticides, protecting the country from systematic targeting by  Saudi-led coalition and thwarting its plans aim to harm agriculture, the environment and the health of society.
