OCCUPIED QUDS, Oct. 24 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation entity government announced Sunday that it intends to build more than 1,300 new settlement units in the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli occupation’s Ministry of Construction and Housing said that it had published tenders for the construction of 1,355 new housing units in Judea and Samaria (the term used by the Government of Israel to refer to the occupied West Bank).
According to the ministry’s statement, these new settlement units will be distributed among seven settlements, including “Areel” (729 units), “Beit El” (346 units) and “Elkana” (102 units).
Meanwhile, the anti-settlement “Peace Now” movement confirmed that a committee is expected to convene next Wednesday to approve the construction of 2,800 new housing units in the West Bank.
