Two killed, seven wounded in Uganda explosion

SANAA, Oct. 24 (YPA) – At least two people were dead after a bomb blast in the Ugandan capital of Kampala, Uganda Police chief political commissar Asan Kasingye Tweeted on Saturday.

No one has claimed responsibility for the explosion , yet.

Local media reported that  seven people were injured in the blast in Kumambuja, a suburb on the outskirts of the east of the capital Kampala, Reuters reported.

Footage circulating on social media showed people panicking and confused as the blue lights of police vehicles flashed.

In another video, a group of women appeared terrified and spoke to a media about the explosion.

Bomb explosions are rare in Uganda, which is located in the east of the African continent.
