Attack hits US military base in Syria

SANAA, Oct. 21 (YPA) – The U.S. Central Command admitted on Thursday that a rocket attack hit its military base in Al-Tanf, on the Syrian-Iraqi-Jordanian borders.

The command said in a statement that a drone attacked deliberately the military base, located in southwestern Rif Dimashq governorate, claiming that there were no casualties among the US forces.

The statement indicated that “it will reserve the right to self-defense and respond to the attack in the appropriate time and place.”

Earlier, several media reports said that the military base of the U.S. occupation in Al-Tanf, where American and British forces are located, was subjected to missile strikes, and that explosions were heard at the base, “which caused serious material damage, amid great secrecy about the casualties.
