Report: Dozens of Saudi-backed militants killed, wounded in western coast’s battles
HODEIDAH, June 11 (YPA) – Dozens of Saudi-backed militants on Monday were killed and wounded, 8 others were captured, dozens of military vehicles of the coalition were destroyed in western coast battles, a military official said.
The Yemeni army forces controlled most of the sites east of Al-Jah area, and north-east of Taif, which cut off road on coalition militants towards drimi and Touhita districts, the official added.
The army forces fought fierce battles with the southern forces in Darihami, Taif and Souk al-Jah.
” The drones of army waged several strikes on coalition-backed militants gatherings in several areas inflicting them heavy material and human losses,” military officials added.
“Unit of army destroyed two military vehicles of the militiamen of coalition in the city of Hays, killing its crew’s members,” they said.
“The army forces captured 8 militiamen of coalition and seized various weapons in east of Hais city ,” they added.
“The Yemeni army forces controlled defense lines of the coalition militants in Al-Fayza area, south of Tahita area, after army attacked their forces in the outskirts of Al-Fayza, killing and injuring dozens of southern fighters of coalition and destroying a pick-up belonging to the militants and seizing another,” the officials said.
