Army spokesman reveals “Rabie Alnasr” operation in Marib, Shabwa

SANAA, Oct. 17 (YPA) – Spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarie, revealed on Sunday a “Rabie Alnasr” operation that carried out in the provinces of Shabwa and Marib.

The spokesman affirmed in a news statement that the military operation,carried out by the Yemeni army and popular forces, has led to liberation of the districts of Usaylan, Bayhan and Ain in Shabwa, in addition to the liberation of the districts of al-Abdiya and Harib, with parts of the districts of Juba and Jabal Murad in Marib province.

“Hundreds of the Saudi-led coalition recruits, including Al-Qaeda and ISIS members, were killed and wounded, and others were captured, during the operation, in addition about 3200 square kilometers were liberated,” Sarie went on to say.

He added,” The large quantities of weapons of the aggression coalition were seized.”
The statement praised great efforts made by the Marib and Shabwa tribes in support of the army and popular forces against the invaders and occupiers.

It called on the mercenaries and agents, who are fighting on the side of the coalition, to leave the fight with the occupiers as a prelude to addressing their situation during the coming period, especially as the armed forces are in the process of completing the liberation and purification of the remaining occupied provinces.
