Over 1.3 million riyals of illegal currency seized in Dhalea, Marib

DHALEA, MARIB, Oct. 05 (YPA) – The police of Al-Hasha District in Dhalea province have seized 1,095,500 riyals of illegal and counterfeit currency, which was printed by the Saudi-led coalition to harm the national economy.

The District Police said on Monday that the aforementioned amount is the total of what was seized during three separate operations.

In Marib province, the counter-smuggling unit of the police forces branch in the province seized 248,000 riyals of counterfeit currency in the possession of a 19-year-old person.

The seized amounts were referred with the accused to the competent authorities.
