Sanaa reveals reasons for interruption of internet, telecom service in 4 southern provinces

SANAA, Oct. 03 (YPA) – The Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology in Sanaa, Misfer Al-Numeir, on Sunday revealed the reasons for the interruption of most telecommunications and Internet services in the provinces of Aden, Abyan, Lahj, and Al-Dhale’ since this morning.

Al-Numair explained, in a tweet, that the interruption is due to an act of sabotage targeted fiber-optic cables in those governorates from three tracks.

He added, “Work is underway to repair the cables and restore service as soon as possible.”
