Review of coalition’s violations against children in Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – The Acting Minister of Human Rights, Ali Al-Dailami discussed on Wednesday via closed-circuit television, with Khaled Quzmar, regional director of the Global Movement for the  Defense of Children International’s Middle East and North Africa, issues of children’s rights, and the violations and targeting of Yemeni children by Saudi-led coalition forces.

The Acting Minister of Human Rights, in partnership with children’s actors, emphasized the implementation of programmes aimed at promoting children’s rights, as well as the Ministry’s move during the current phase of communication with international bodies on the protection of children from violations of aggression.

Al-Dailami touched on the crimes and violations committed by the US-backed Saudi-led aggression and its mercenaries against the children of Yemen.

More than 7,000 children were killed and injured in raids and violations by the forces of aggression, he said.

Saudi  aggression deprived thousands of students of education by turning schools into barracks, military headquarters and a springboard for al-Qaeda and ISIS gangs, Al-Dailami added.

For its part, the Global Movement for the Defense of Children – Palestine,  expressed its willingness to take serious action in international forums to activate the humanitarian file and work to protect the children of Yemen, and to move towards lifting the blockade, stopping the aggression and ending the suffering of all the  Yemenis.
