TEHRAN, Sept. 27 (YPA) – The volume of Iranian foreign trade increased by 47% during the first half of this year, compared to the same period last year.
According to the Director-General of Iranian Customs, Mehdi Miracharfi, the volume of Iranian foreign trade reached $45 billion during this period.
Miracharfi added that 79,100,000 tons of goods have been exchanged between Iran and various countries of the world, according to the Iranian news agency “IRNA.”
China is the most important destination for Iranian exports, with 14,800,000 tons of goods worth 6,500,000,000 dollars, and Iraq with 13,900,000 tons worth 3,800,000,000 dollars.
Turkey came third with 7,200,000 tons worth 2,300,000 dollars, followed by the UAE with 5,800,000 tons at a value of 2,200,000,000 dollars, and Afghanistan with 2,500,000 tons at a billion dollars.
