TAIZ, Sept. 27 (YPA) – A citizen was seriously injured in Taiz city, southwest Yemen, on Monday when the security forces loyal to the Saudi-led coalition fired live bullets to disperse protests against the local authorities and coalition forces.
Local sources reported that the protesters tore up pictures of the outgoing president Hadi in the middle of Taiz city, and blocked main streets by burning tires.
A number of demonstrators were arrested during a security campaign launched by forces from several brigades loyal to the coalition in Taiz, the sources added.
