Two Zionist soldiers injured during clashes in Nablus

NABLUS, Sept. 27 (YPA) – Two Israeli occupation soldiers were injured during armed clashes broke out early Monday as hundreds of settlers stormed Youssef’s tomb in the Occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

Palestinian resistance fighters targeted the occupation forces in the vicinity of Youssef’s tomb, while the Zionist soldiers were seen transporting an injured soldier by a military vehicle on Amman Street, The Palestine Today news agency reported.

Hebrew media sources announced that two soldiers were injured in the clashes, noting that based on a security assessment of the events, it was decided to evacuate the tomb quickly and withdraw from Nablus shortly after it was stormed.

Violent clashes broke out as the occupation forces stormed the eastern area of Nablus with more than 30 military vehicles, including a bulldozer, in preparation for Zionist  settlers  to storm Youssef’s tomb under the pretext of performing their Talmudic rituals and celebrating their religious holidays.

Palestinians closed several streets and set fire on tyres, threw Molotov cocktails, fireworks and stones at occupation patrols, while soldiers fired sound and gas bombs heavily.

More than 10 buses arrived to transport the Zionist settlers under heavy protection  from military vehicles.

The Red Crescent said its crews dealt with a number of injuries, including a spongy bullet wound to the face and one injury that ran over a military jeep, as well as seven gas asphyxiation injuries.
