119 American institutions call on US to stop arms shipment to Israeli occupation
SANAA, Sept. 21 (YPA) – About 119 American and international civil institutions and organizations called on the US administration to stop supplying weapons to the Israeli occupation.
In a statement, the organizations affirmed the support of the signatories for the draft amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for the fiscal year 2022, which is to the US Congress, to stop the delivery of precision-guided weapons to the occupation.
US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that Israel has used these weapons to bombard Palestinian civilians and civilian buildings, as happened in the bombing of the building of the media offices institutions in the Gaza Strip, last May.
The National Defense Authorization Act is a federal law of the United States of America, which determines the budget and expenditures of the Department of Defense, and annually issues a law for each fiscal year that includes other provisions.
