Saudi forces hold Emirati plane at Socotra airport

SOCOTRA, Sept. 20 (YPA) – Saudi forces “808” prevented on Monday an Emirati plane from taking off from the airport of the Socotra Island, southern Yemen, local sources said.

The sources stated that the Emirati plane was about to take off from Hadibu Airport towards Abu Dhabi, indicating that the Saudi forces 808 present on the island threatened to target it, in the event of non-stop from takeoff, without giving reasons.

According to the sources, there is a state of military tension and disagreement between the Saudi and Emirati forces that have been sharing control of the island’s airport and port since May 2018.
