Saudi Arabia imposes new conditions on STC militias

ADEN, Sept. 19 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia has imposed new conditions on the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias in Aden city, south of Yemen.

According to sources, the Saudi ambassador, Mohammed Al Jaber, stipulated that the delegation of the STC in the “Riyadh Agreement”, has to leave the head of the STC, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, from Aden city, in exchange for the Saudi-exiled Hadi government’s return to carry out its duties from inside the Al-Maashiq Palace.

According to the sources, Al Jaber, who is in charge of the file of the southern provinces of Yemen, confirmed that the return of Hadi and members of the government depends on the departure of Al-Zubaidi.

Saudi Arabia is trying to return the “Hadi government” to Aden, after it fled to Riyadh, when the STC supporters stormed Al-Maashiq Palace, in protest against the deteriorating living conditions, the collapse of electricity and water services, and the failure to pay the salaries of employees.
