Nine culprits of assassination of President Saleh al-Sammad executed in Sanaa

SANAA, Sept. 19 (YPA) – Nine Yemeni collaborators affiliated with the Saudi aggressors were executed on Saturday in the capital of Sanaa.

A yemeni court found the convicts guilty of aiding and abetting the assassination of President Saleh al-Sammad and his companions, who were assassinated in Hodeidah province on April 19, 2018, an official source reported.

The death sentence was carried out on al-Tahreer Square in Sanaa, after all legal procedures were completed by the court.

On 5 April 2021, the criminal court in Hodeidah province had decided to uphold the preliminary ruling issued on 24 August 2020, convicting 16 accused of the assassination of President al-Sammad to the death penalty.
